Oman’s trade surplus touches OMR1.53bn by end of March 2020

Oman’s trade surplus stood at OMR1.53 billion at the end of March 2020 compared to OMR1.57 billion in the same period of 2019, according to the latest data released by National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI). Total imports of over OMR1.99 billion arrived through ports at end of March 2020.

The total oil and gas exports amounted to OMR2,347,100,000 (over OMR2.34bn) representing 66.4 per cent of the total exports for the same period 2020. The total crude oil exports of the Sultanate amounted to OMR1,726,700,000 (over OMR1.72bn).

Non-oil exports fell by 27.6 per cent to reach OMR722,200,000 (OMR722mn) at the end of March 2020 compared to OMR997,400,000 (over OMR997mn) for the same period in 2019.
