Poland's state oil and gas company PGNiG exported 0.9 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Ukraine in the first half of 2020.
PGNiG CEO Jerzy Kwieciński said this in an interview with Ukrinform.
"In the first half of 2020, we exported 0.9 billion cubic meters of gas to Ukraine, which is three times more than last year. This is our record, he said.
Kwieciński stressed that this is a positive result for both Poland and Ukraine.
'It's good for us because we use the potential. It's also good for Ukraine because of the diversification of gas supply, he stressed.
At the same time, Kwieciński noted that it is not possible to forecast the annual results of Polish gas exports to Ukraine as everything will depend on the needs of the economy.
