Serbia's foreign trade deficit in the first eight months of 2020 shrank 4.3% on the year to $4.279 billion (3.653 billion euro), data from the country's statistical office showed on Wednesday.
The country's exports went down 7.4% to $16.138 billion in January-August, while imports fell by 6.5% to $14.462 billion, the office said in a statement.
In July alone, Serbia's exports went up 2.3% on the year to $1.544 billion and imports rose 4.5% to $2.075 billion, resulting in a $530.4 million deficit.
