Israeli export of goods fell 11.8 percent in the first half of 2020, compared to the same period last year, the Central Bureau of Statistics said Monday.
According to the data, Israeli exports from January to June amounted to 23.9 billion U.S. dollars, compared to 27.1 billion dollars in the first half of 2019.
Israeli hi-tech industries' exports fell by 8.3 percent, from 8.4 billion dollars in the first half of 2019 to 7.7 billion dollars this year.
The figures also show that Israeli imports fell 12.7 percent in the first half of 2020, totalling 33.1 billion dollars, compared to 37.9 billion dollars in 2019.
Israel's trade deficit, however, decreased by 14 percent from 10.7 billion dollars in the first half of 2019 to 9.2 billion dollars this year.
