Jordan exported about 100 million facemasks to other countries in the current year. The importing countries include the United States as well as Arab, European and Asian countries, declared the Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Maha Ali onWednesday.
The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply (MIT) is now forming six 'sector councils,' in collaboration with the private sector, to better understand the recent situation in different sectors as well as the challenges they face in local and international markets. The ministry has strategies and actions that goal to improve Jordanian exports, as they are very important for most Jordanian industrial and service companies, she further said. She noted that, the Coronavirus crisis introduced challenges to the sector, much like most other economic sectors, because of the actions submitted to face the crisis.
