Israeli imports from China up 32 pct in Jan.-Feb.

Israeli imports from China, excluding diamonds, rose by 32 percent in the first two months of 2021, compared to the same months last year, according to a report released by Israel's Central Bureau of Statistics on Wednesday. According to data, Israeli imports from China in January-February totaled 2.02 billion U.S. dollars, compared to 1.53 billion dollars in the same period in 2020. In February, Israel's imports from China totaled one billion dollars. Israeli exports to China rose 29.3 percent, from 701 million dollars in January-February last year to 906.5 million dollars in those months this year.

 

In February, Israeli exports to China rose 5.3 percent, from 345.6 million dollars in February 2020, to 364 million dollars in the same month this year. Total Israeli imports in the first two months of 2021 amounted to 13.3 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 7.6 percent, while Israeli exports amounted to 8.7 billion dollars, a decrease of 11.5 percent.
