Bangladesh based electronics giant Walton started exporting its produced compressor to Iraq.
To this end, the electronic products manufacturer signed an agreement with Ashrqat Alnarjes General Company, a renowned electronics retailer in Iraq, and made it the distributor of the Walton product there, said a media release.
"Two representatives from the Iraqi company visited Walton Compressor Manufacturing Industry at the end of last year. They were impressed witnessing the compressor production process with the state-of-the art technologies in our factory," said Roqibul Islam Rakib, head for Asia, Middle East and African regions of the Walton’s International Business Unit.
He added that they expressed their keen interest to be a distributor of Walton brand compressor in the Iraqi market.
In the first year, Rakib said, a large volume of compressor would be shipped to Iraq.
"Already, we sent the first consignment of the compressor to Iraq," Rakib informed.
Waad M Daham, managing director of Ashrqat Alnarjes Genearal Company, said, that Walton was manufacturing compressor using modern technology with huge capacity.
"We are very much confident that we could capture a bulk percentage of the market share of compressor in Iraq," he said, adding that the Walton compressors were very much suitable for Iraq market.
"After a successful penetration in Iraq market, we will ensure our footprint in the neighbouring countries in the Middle East region,” Daham said.
Walton Compressor chief executive officer Meer Muzahedin Islam said they were manufacturing world class compressor and its related essential components in Bangladesh.
"In our compressor factory, we installed world’s advanced Hemi Anechoic Acoustic Chamber imported from USA to ensure the lowest noise level of the compressor,” he informed.
