Turkey's machinery sector exports reached $23 billion (20.2 million euro) in 2021, up by 23% year-on-year and 18.3% higher compared to the pre-pandemic 2019, local media reported on Wednesday, quoting industry officials.
In 2022, the country's machinery exports could reach $27 billion, Anadolu Agency quoted the president of the Machinery Exporters' Association, Kutlu Karavelioglu, as saying. Turkey exported machinery worth more that $4 billion to Germany and as much to the US, the agency said. Machinery exports to the UK, Italy, and France exceeded $1 billion on each market.
