Medicines imported from Turkey soon to enter Georgian market

Turkey

Georgia announced on Monday that medical drugs imported from Turkey would be distributed to pharmacies in the country over the next few weeks. Speaking before a Council of Ministers meeting in the capital Tbilisi, Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said high prices of medicines throughout the country was unacceptable.

"We found an easy solution and we will start to send drugs imported from Turkey to pharmacies in the coming weeks. I know that importing pharmaceutical companies are already actively working to import high quality, cheap drugs from Turkey," Garibashvili said. "According to the information I received, they will start to deliver drugs to pharmacies in the coming weeks," he added. Garibashvili had announced last month that Georgia had decided to import high-quality pharmaceuticals from Turkey.
