Serbia's trade deficit more than doubles in January

Serbia's trade deficit rose by 127.4% on the year to $713.7 million (651 million euro) in January, the country's statistical office said on Friday.

 

Exports went up 21.8% year-on-year to $2.02 billion in January, while imports rose by 38.6% to $2.7 billion, the statistical office said in a statement. The export-import ratio went down to 73.9% in the month under review from last year's 84.1%, the data showed. Serbia's trade gap widened by 1.8% to $8.233 billion in 2021.
