According to the Minster of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, El-Sayed El-Qusair, in the period January 1 – September 2, Egypt’s agricultural exports have increased to more than 4 million tons. The volume of agricultural exports has reached 4.45 million tons year-to-date (YTD) despite the economic disruption caused by the pandemic, El-Qusair said in a statement on Thursday.
Citrus topped the country’s agricultural exports with 1.39 million tons, followed by potatoes and onion with 675,118 and 302,450, respectively. Grapes came in the fourth position with about 136,400 tons, while garlic exports amounted to 33,252 tons.
