DHL Express Malaysia starts durian express exports to Hong Kong & Singapore

Hong Kong

International delivery service provider DHL Express Malaysia has issued a statement, saying its new Durian Express initiative aims to help durian business owners meet the overseas demand spike, which guarantees next-day delivery in less than 24 hours. That is why the company has launched the DHL Express Malaysia's Durian Express initiative, flying produce to Hong Kong and Singapore.

"The service also demonstrates our longstanding commitment to the Malaysian small and medium enterprise community, as we continue to help them look beyond our shores and realise their growth potential,” said DHL Express Malaysia managing director Julian Neo.

Through the Durian Express, business owners have the flexibility of making shipments to their own overseas warehouses, commercial entities like greengrocers and supermarkets, or residential and office addresses. Break bulk is also available for large-volume orders that can be divided into smaller consignments and individually dispatched to separate locations

Neo also said the two countries are Malaysia’s main trading partners for durians, and according to the Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry Ministry, homegrown yield exceeded approximately 341,000 tonnes in 2018.
