The value of non-oil trade in goods between Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia has amounted to $134.4bn (AED493.8bn) over the past decade.

In 2019, Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia recorded $14.97bn (AED55.3bn) of total trade exchanges, a growth of 83.9% over 2010 when the total trade volume between the two sides stood at $8.17bn (AED30.05bn), according to figures released by Abu Dhabi Customs, UAE's state-run news agency Wam reported.

The value of Abu Dhabi’s non-oil exports to Saudi Arabia jumped to $53.41bn (AED196.17bn) over the decade, while re-exports stood at $49bn (AED180.09bn), and imports at $32bn (AED117.50bn).

Last year, the emirate's exports to Saudi Arabia as well as re-exports grew in comparison to 2010's figures, with the kingdom remaining the emirate's top trading partner over the decade.

Speaking to Wam, director general of general administration for customs in Abu Dhabi, Rashid bin Lahij Al Mansouri, said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a key strategic partner of the UAE owing to the common views and robust cooperation ties maintained by the leadership of the two nations and their continual exchange of expertise and transfer of knowledge, which, he said, has reflected in streamlining traffic between their ports.

The kingdom recently marked its 90th National Day. Construction Week celebrated its top projects that are currently under construction and are set to drive change in the nation, create hundreds and thousands of jobs, and boost economic development.
