Mexico

Mexico's exports expanded 4.88 percent in August in comparison to July, showing the third straight month in a row of expansion after declining over the coronavirus outbreak, the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi) said on Monday.

Exports came in at a total of USD37.047 billion in August in comparison with USD35.324 billion in the earlier month, seasonally adjusted figures showed.

However, the imports expanded 7.01 percent in August in comparison to July, to set at USD30.55 billion, the report said.

The difference caused a surplus in Mexico's trade balance equaling USD6.497 billion in August.
