Transmar is expanding its shipping services to Aqaba Port in Jordan, according to a press release. The company’s expansion strategy covers “the most important ports in the Red Sea,” including Adabiya, Sokhna, Jeddah, Port Sudan, Jebel Ali. The new expansion to Jordan will connect Aqaba with KSA, the UAE, and Sudan. Group CEO of Transmar’s parent company IACC Holdings, Mohamed El-Ahwal, said: “Our experience over the last four decades serving partners in Egypt, KSA, and Sudan, today, extends to Jordanian businesses.”
Transmar witnessed a doubling of reefer container shipping exports during 2020, which indicated a boom in agricultural trade between Egypt and neighbouring countries. Commercial Director at Transmar, Ahmed El-Ahwal, commented: “We have built relationships with hundreds of businesses who rely on inter-regional trade within their supply chains, having achieved a trading volume of over 75,000 TEUs.”
