South Africa's trade surplus narrowed to 51.24 billion rand($3.72 billion) in April from a revised surplus of 52.57 billion rand in March, data from the revenue service showed on Monday.
Exports fell 3.9% on a month-on-month basis to 161.47 billion rand, while imports were down 4.6% to 110.23 billion rand, the South African Revenue Service said.
