Serbia's foreign trade deficit went down 13% on the year to $2.056 billion (1.685 billion euro) in the first four months of 2021, the country's statistical office said. The country's exports grew by 25.4% to $6.586 billion in January-April, while imports went up by 37.1% to $7.919 billion, the office said in a statement on Monday.
The export-import ratio rose to 79.4% from 71.0% in the first four months of 2020. In April alone, Serbia's exports went up 89.4% on the year to $2.092 billion and imports rose 79.1% to $2.768 billion, resulting in a $676.3 million deficit.
