Between January and March of 2021, Morocco exported some 25,800 tons of vegetables to various companies in the Spanish city of Almeria. Morocco’s exports reached a total value of $37.9 million for this year’s first three months. Almerian companies' most sought-after import for the time period was the common bean, also known as the French bean, which made up 30.11% of the exports, or 7.8 million kilograms, with the price averaging at $1.71 per kilogram. In a close second followed Moroccan peppers, 6.8 million kilograms, 26.41% of all fresh produce exports, valued at $0.74 per kilogram.
