Serbian trade gap widens in Jan-Jul

Serbia's foreign trade deficit went up 16.1% on the year to USD 4.354 billion (EUR 3.687 billion) in the first seven months of 2021, the country's statistical office said on Tuesday.

 

The country's exports grew by 38.9% to USD 14.333 billion in January-July, while imports went up by 32.8% to USD 18.686 billion, the office said. In July alone, Serbia's exports went up 29.5% on the year to USD 2.921 billion and imports rose 30.1% to USD 2.921 billion, resulting in a USD 728.2 million deficit.
