Russia’s PVC imports up 20% in January-August, exports fall 13%

Imports of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) into Russia stood at 42,700 tonnes in January-August, up by 20% year on year, according to MRC’s DataScope report. Exports fell 13% during the eight-month period, year on year, to 137,300 tonnes. After a spike in May export sales, driven by high prices in foreign markets, exports of Russian PVC decreased in following months.
