Peru, Vietnam reaffirm commitment to strengthen bilateral ties

Peru's Foreign Affairs Minister Cesar Landa and Non-Resident Ambassador of Vietnam to Peru, with residence in Brazil, Pham Thi Kim Hoa, highlighted the bilateral ties between both nations and reaffirmed their commitment to further diversify and strengthen relations between the two countries. "The meeting highlighted the good level of bilateral ties and the commitment to continue strengthening and diversifying them," the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Twitter. The gathering with the Vietnamese ambassador addressed the main issues of the bilateral relationship such as the exploration of new cooperation opportunities, investment, technological innovation, among other topics. "The main issues of the bilateral relationship were addressed, in order to increase trade, investment, technological innovation and to explore new opportunities for cooperation," it said.

 

Meeting with Andean parliamentarian

Moreover, Minister Landa met with Andean parliamentarian Leslye Lazo to discuss the work plan that is being worked on for the next Peruvian Pro Tempore Presidency of the Andean Community. At the meeting, they agreed to promote Peru's agenda during the Pro Tempore Presidency, placing greater emphasis on the empowerment of women and economic reactivation. "They agreed to strengthen joint efforts in favor of our most vulnerable citizens and of citizens of the Andean countries, as well as to promote our country's agenda during the Pro Tempore Presidency, especially in terms economic reactivation and empowerment of women," the government agency stated.
